Job#: 3043671Job Description:Senior IBM API Connect (APIC) & Datapower DeveloperLocation: Torrance, California (Onsite)Role OverviewWe are currently hiring for a Senior IBM API Connect (APIC) & DataPower Developer to join a leading global automotive finance and mobility services organization. This role will support a large-scale enterprise integration and API modernization program focused on building secure, scalable, and highly available integration solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with architecture, cloud, security, and application development teams to develop and support critical APIs, middleware services, and hybrid-cloud integrations supporting business-critical platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade API and integration solutions using IBM API Connect and DataPower.Create, publish, secure, and manage REST and SOAP APIs within APIC environments.Develop GatewayScript, XSLT, XPath, and transformation services to support complex integration requirements.Design scalable integration architectures supporting cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises applications.Implement API security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and governance policies.Deploy and support APIC and DataPower solutions within OpenShift and containerized environments.Integrate enterprise applications, including Salesforce, Loan Origination Systems, Servicing Systems, Payment Gateways, Fraud Platforms, and third-party vendor solutions.Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and technical solution reviews to maintain platform standards and quality.Troubleshoot production issues related to APIs, middleware, networking, cloud connectivity, and application integrations.Support automated deployment pipelines and DevSecOps initiatives using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar technologies.Participate in on-call production support during off-hours, weekends, and critical business events.Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership and best practices guidance.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience: 8+ years of overall software development and integration experience, with 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower solutions in enterprise environments.Technical Skills:Strong experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway platforms.Extensive experience with REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, WSDL, XSD, XPath, XSLT, GatewayScript, and related integration technologies.Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, API governance, and API security best practices.Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, Mutual TLS (mTLS), LDAP Integration, and certificate-based authentication.Experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Kubernetes concepts, and container deployments.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar automation tools.Experience performing production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning activities.Experience with IBM MQ integration and messaging patterns.Preferred QualificationsExperience within Banking, Financial Services, Consumer Lending, Automotive Finance, or related regulated industries.Working knowledge of event-driven architectures, Kafka, or IBM Event Streams.Knowledge of AWS services including VPC, NLB, S3, security controls, networking, and hybrid-cloud architectures.Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.Nice to Have: IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) and Financial Services compliance experience (SOX, PCI, GLBA).Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
