GRILL COOK/LINE COOK OPPORTUNITY AT THE SHORE AND COUNTRY CLUBThe Shore and Country Club is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Grill Cook/Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position requires evening and weekend availability.The Grill Cook/Line Cook reports directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef and is responsible for the preparation and execution of all grilled and broiled menu items during à la carte service, special events, and private functions. This role requires precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality food standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:Prepare and cook grilled and broiled menu items to order, ensuring proper temperatures, presentation, and portion control.Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked grill station throughout service.Monitor grill station inventory, communicate shortages, and assist with daily food prep.Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety in compliance with health codes and Club policies.Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen and workstations before and after service.Collaborate with culinary team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service.Execute special event and banquet grill needs as directed by the Executive Chef.Uphold kitchen standards for consistency, quality, and efficiency at all times.Candidate Qualifications2+ years of broiler/grill line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen or club environment.Strong understanding of grill temperatures, meat temperatures, and cooking times.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.Culinary degree or certification a plus, but not required.Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the Club’s operating season.Has a passion for the culinary arts!Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with physical demands, including standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, talking, hearing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.What We OfferCompetitive hourly wage.Daily meals provided.Breathtaking Views of the Harbor and Long Island Sound.Great working environment with a culture that emphasizes respecting one another.Fun Fridays and other staff events throughout the season.Employee Recognition Program.Ongoing training and leadership sessions.
