Manufacturing Engineer
REXA, Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes for electrohydraulic actuators used in demanding industrial environments. This role focuses on improving safety, reliability, quality, and cost across machining, assembly, testing, and final integration, while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:Manufacturing Process DevelopmentDesign, implement, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for electrohydraulic actuators and related subassembliesDevelop processes, routings, work instructions, and bills of materials for low‑ to medium‑volume industrial productionDefine tooling, fixturing, hydraulic test setups, and assembly aids to improve consistency and safetyNew Product Introduction (NPI)Support NPI activities by translating engineering designs into robust, repeatable manufacturing processesCollaborate with Design Engineering on DFM/DFA for actuator subassemblies, hydraulic components, manifolds, seals, and control systemsLead pilot builds and production readiness reviewsContinuous Improvement & TroubleshootingIdentify and execute improvements to reduce cycle time, rework, scrap, and warranty riskTroubleshoot production issues related to hydraulic performance, electrical controls, sealing, and mechanical fit-upApply Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions Quality & ComplianceEnsure manufacturing processes meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements (oil & gas, power, water, mining, etc.)Support quality initiatives including process capability studies, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection strategiesCollaborate with Quality Engineering on nonconformance resolution and continuous improvementCross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Field Service teamsSupport supplier qualification and sourcing of machined components, hydraulic parts, and electrical componentsProvide technical guidance and training to production and test personnelRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline5 years of manufacturing experience in industrial equipment, valves, actuators, fluid power systems, or related field Strong knowledge of:Machining and fabrication of metal componentsMechanical assembly and precision fit-upHydraulic systems (pressure, flow, sealing, contamination control)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and hydraulic schematicsExperience creating manufacturing documentation and process routingsExperience with ERP/MRP systems and production data analysisStrong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with hydraulics and electromechanical assembliesExposure to industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, IEC, ASME, where applicable)Hands on experience with hydraulic testing and pressure systemsWorking Conditions:Combination of office and manufacturing floorRegular interaction with assembly, test, and inspection areasOccasional travel to suppliers or customer sites may be requiredWe offer full benefits and competitive compensation.Salary range: $73,547 - $122,578 depending on experienceBenefits:401(k) with company matchHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings AccountLife insurancePaid vacation and sick timeParental leaveTuition reimbursement11 company paid holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled*This organization participates in E-Verify.*
