Construction Manager

Job Title: Construction Project Manager – Wireless ImplementationLocation: Phoenix, Arizona, Tucson AZDuration: 12+ Months Contract with possible ExtensionJob SummaryThe Construction Project Manager – Wireless Implementation is responsible for leading and delivering complex wireless construction projects, including small cell and macro sites. This role requires coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope. The ideal candidate has proven project management skills, technical knowledge of wireless construction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, status reports, and track key milestones; update project schedules in SiteTracker.Anticipate and proactively resolve risks and construction obstacles.Review, approve, and manage construction drawings.Conduct bid walks, evaluate contractor bids, and assist in bid creation and scheduling with the Scoping team.Create Bills of Material in collaboration with the Scoping team.Assist with material procurement, ordering, and purchase order creation.Manage General Contractors and oversee the construction of small cell and macro sites.Coordinate power installation and construction activities with local power companies, including site visits as required.Coordinate fiber delivery with the Outside Plant construction team to meet project timelines.Ensure site acceptance meets Cox and customer standards; validate accuracy of closeout documentation with contractors.Ensure jurisdictional standards are met and site permits are closed out; conduct or coordinate inspections.Review and approve contractor invoices based on production and internal evaluation.Develop and implement methods and procedures to reduce construction timelines and improve efficiency.Assess alternate designs, evaluate costs and benefits, and determine project impact on stakeholders and users.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in project management, construction, ROW engineering, or technical operations, or equivalent academic experience.Working knowledge of wireless telecommunications construction and related processes.Working knowledge of commercial power installation processes.
