Get paid for your expertise.We're looking for a skilled Panel / Machine Builder who enjoys hands-on work, complex control systems, and seeing a custom project come together from print to power-on. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean builds, accurate wiring, and thoughtful troubleshootingsomeone who wants more than repetitive production work.You'll be part of a union-represented team within a growing startup-style division, backed by the stability and resources of a long-established organization. The work is custom, technically engaging, and variedno cookie-cutter panels here.What You'll Be DoingBuild custom electrical panels and machine assemblies from start to finish using detailed schematics and blueprintsLay out panels, mount components, and perform complete electrical assembly on custom projectsWire switches, circuit breakers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control devices to specAssemble and wire PLC-based machine control systemsTroubleshoot panels and machinesdiagnosing wiring issues, component failures, and control problemsVerify functionality, quality, and compliance before machines move onCollaborate with engineering and fellow builders to resolve design or build challengesMaintain a clean, organized workspace while following shop safety standardsWhat Makes You a Great FitStrong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprintsHands-on experience in panel building and machine building2+ years of combined experience in electrical panel assembly and machine integrationConfident troubleshooting skills for electrical panels and control systemsExperience working with PLC-based controlsHigh attention to detailclean wiring, proper routing, accurate terminationsComfortable using hand tools, shop equipment, and test instrumentsAble to work independently while contributing to a team build environmentNice-to-Have ExperienceTechnical degree or formal training in automation, robotics, or a related fieldBackground in both electrical and mechanical machine assemblyExperience with custom or one-off machines and panelsStrong problem-solving mindset and a methodical troubleshooting approachWhy You'll Want to Work Here$32$37/hr based on experienceUnion position with representation and structureFirst shift, MondayFriday, 6:00 AM2:30 PMCustom builds that keep the work interesting and technically challengingStable organization with the energy and growth of a startup divisionOpportunity to sharpen your skills in automation, controls, and machine buildingWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on shop role working at benches and on the floor with electrical panels, machines, and tooling. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
