Senior Controls Engineer

Senior Controls Engineer Works directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission and qualify control systems for the Food and Beverage division. Responsibilities Lead teams of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions Work in team environment with internal engineers and clients to provide cutting edge Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing Develop Life Cycle documents, Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) & distributed control system (DCS) configurations Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems Act as a Mentor for junior engineers Develop engineering standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of project execution Travel Requirements: up to 30% Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering Experience with one or more: Rockwell Automation, Siemens, AVEVA Wonderware Communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems Ability to guide a project independently Thorough understanding of control system design and implementation Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms Desired Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology Ideally experience in Food & Beverage Industry but will consider others Electrical design Batch process control experience Understanding of common Food and Beverage industry processes such as CIP, pasteurization, and packaging.
