Technician Helper
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesFollows all company safety and quality procedures Certified to operate ForkliftCleaning, blasting, and painting valve componentsReturn Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation ManualMay be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photosMaintain a clean and organized work areaMaintain equipment in area, as requiredMay be required to help in field assignmentsMay be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scopeMay be required operate motor vehicleAttend job and safety training, as necessary or requiredPositional Requirements & Qualifications Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)Skills & AbilitiesSafety and quality-mindedBasic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledgeBasic computer knowledgeOrganized and detail-orientedDemonstrate effective time management skills Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesMust clear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical FunctionsLifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending, stooping, walking and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Communicating with others to exchange information Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
