Surgery Scheduler - Almara OGI - Sign-On Bonus
The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordination of clerical, scheduling duties and phone calls. Also responsible for coordination of registering patients, as necessary.This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM based upon business need out of our Edina & Maple Grove offices.Almara Women's Health | Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.Essential FunctionsResponsible for accurately scheduling surgeries/procedures, notifying patients of any time changesUpdate insurance information as appropriate and ensure updates get on patient’s chartWork in conjunction with Physicians and Manager on block scheduling and utilizationWork with the Patient Services Representative’s team on the flow of the schedule to maintain smooth work flow of the dayAssist in training new staff in scheduling as necessaryCommunicate equipment availability to team on a weekly basisReport occurrences through the center’s established occurrence reporting process related to employee and/or patient/visitor eventsFoster the developmental and educational process of self, colleagues, orientees and students (includes functioning as a preceptor)Participate in acceptable continuing education, fostering career and skill development including meeting departmental continuing education requirementsMaintain strong, interpersonal relationships, professionalism and communication with all physician office schedulers and other coworkersContribute personally to the “team oriented” environment by demonstrating cooperative, constructive, problem-solving interaction with all Surgery Center employeesParticipates in department/team meetingsAny and all other duties as assigned Education And Experience RequirementsHigh School diploma/GED or equivalentTwo years’ experience in related fieldMedical technology knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to multi-task and manage competing priorities, while achieving results in a fast-paced environmentBenefits & Compensation Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience. A $750 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
