Chief Technology Officer (CTO)OverviewOur client is an established industry leader in digital recorders, surveillance cameras and management software.We are seeking a hands-on, strategic CTO to lead the next phase of innovation and scale. This role will oversee a cross-functional product and engineering organization of approximately 20 people, operating across the United States and Korea. The CTO will bridge R&D, product, and go-to-market—owning both long-term technology direction and near-term execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive the overall technology and product strategy across hardware, software, and cloud, aligned with business objectivesArchitect and scale end-to-end video surveillance systems, including edge devices, VMS platforms, and cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance, reliability, and securityLead and develop a cross-functional team of ~20 across engineering and product, fostering collaboration between US and Korea teamsPartner closely with Sales and leadership to support customer-facing engagements, including technical pitches, solution design, and key account discussionsTake ownership of R&D direction, balancing innovation (e.g., AI, edge computing) with practical product delivery and commercializationRequirementsUS citizenship or residence required. Visa sponsorship not available*English, Korean bilingual*1-3+ years of hands on experience within the CCTV or surveillance field is required*10+ years of engineering experience, including senior leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent)*Background in video surveillance, streaming platforms, IoT/embedded systems, or distributed cloud architectureStrong understanding of video technologies (e.g., RTSP, ONVIF), system design, and scalable infrastructureExperience leading globally distributed teams and driving cross-functional collaborationAbility to operate as both a technical leader and external-facing representative with customers and partnersNice to HaveExperience with computer vision or AI-based video analyticsExposure to hardware–software integrated products or edge computing environmentsPrior experience in security, surveillance, or related industries Other notesRelocation cost within the US will be covered by the company If relocation is not available, a hybrid working option is negotiable Candidates will be considered for stock sharing and bonuses depending on performance Budget: 200-250K USD per annum
