Part-Time SAT Tutor – Brooklyn Campus Company: FS Education Location: Brooklyn, NY Job Type: Part-time, in person About FS Education FS Education is a New York-based learning center serving students ages 6–18. Since 2019, we have provided high-quality instruction in SAT and academic test preparation, mathematics, coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and other STEM-related subjects. We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging SAT tutor to teach students at our Brooklyn campus. The ideal candidate is confident teaching SAT Math, Reading, and Writing concepts and can help students improve both their academic skills and test-taking strategies. Responsibilities Teach individual or small-group SAT preparation classes. Explain SAT Math, Reading, and Writing concepts clearly and effectively. Help students develop test-taking, time-management, and problem-solving strategies. Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement. Prepare lesson materials, practice exercises, and homework when needed. Track student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain an organized, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment. Communicate professionally with FS Education staff and parents. Qualifications Strong knowledge of the current SAT format and tested subject areas. Excellent communication and classroom-management skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and student-friendly way. Reliable, patient, organized, and professional. Prior SAT tutoring, teaching, or test-preparation experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a college or graduate program is preferred. A strong SAT score is highly preferred. Current teachers, graduate students, and high-achieving college students are welcome to apply. Schedule Part-time position. Weekday evenings and/or weekends.
