Job DetailsDescriptionThe Director of Training – Restaurant Ops is responsible to develop and drive training initiatives for the company’s Restaurant division. This role will ensure company compliance and refines best-in-class training systems for all existing and new restaurant openings. This role will lead a team that will design and deliver high impact training to leaders and associates’ company-wide.Compensation Range: $125,000 - $140,000/AnnuallyJob ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate and continuously improve current training initiatives, incorporating best practices for results-driven learningLead new restaurant openings, to ensure detailed business plan for continued success after opening and the highest quality of training is executedManages program development & implementation strategiesMaintains system of record of completed employee training and attendance, sending updates to units and divisions as needed.Manages compliance training and audits to ensure compliance with Anti-Harassment, Food Safety certifications, Alcohol Awareness certifications, CA Heat Prevention, etc.Establish protocol for certifying & auditing remote training & certificationEnsure all training materials are kept current and up to date to ensure compliance with government standardsExecute all stages with new restaurant openings and hold priority review meetings with internal and external partners keeping them on task and motivatedCreate and present projected plan to include detailed milestones with associated critical paths, staffing compendiums, and budgets for new restaurant opening projectsCollaborate extensively with other teams to ensure training aligns and exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the CompanyOversees orientation sessions and ensures on-the-job training is taking place for all new hiresPartner directly with operational leaders and HR to align talent and business needsAssist in recruiting when necessary to fill vacant positions, conducts interviews as need and makes recommendations to hireWork with marketing department to develop educational materials and program signage.QualificationsProof of eligibility to work in the United States21+ years of age8+ years of experience in Restaurant or Hospitality and project management roles3+ years of experience managing direct reportsBA in Organizational Development, Communication, Business and/or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of organizational development and corporate environment training.Prior Restaurant Operations, General Manager or Asst. General Manager roles held is a plus!Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.Valid Driver’s LicenseWork varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidaysExperience with Learning Management Systems (UKG/Schoox learning management system preferred)Strong project management skills, presentation skills, ability to design training from scratch, and us the latest technology to manage training endeavors.Must have strong analytical skills with an ability to think strategically, attention to detail and having exquisite follow up/through skills.Knowledge & CompetenciesExtensive experience in restaurant & hospitality operations and new openingsKnowledge & understanding of Federal & State regulationsEffectively operates independently with minimal directionMust be an individual of high integrity, possess exceptional leadership skillsProven relationship management, diplomacy, and consultative abilitiesKnowledge in profitability analysis and budgetingEmployee Benefits IncludeHealth, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Employee Discount Network, Meals, Celebrations, Awards and more....DisclaimerThis job posting is intended to describe the general nature of this position.
