Survey Party Chief

Leading land development firm Poulos & Bennett is actively seeking a Survey Party Chief for immediate employment in Orlando, Florida office. This position provides a unique opportunity to join an established, well-respected, and growing Land Planning, Civil Engineering, and Construction Management firm with a variety and diverse range of projects. Our teams develop solutions to policy and design challenges and focus on providing our Clients with the highest quality services and technical expertise. Responsibilities: Perform a variety of complex computations from traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, horizontal control, etc. Complete land development surveys as well as boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topography surveys, construction layout, and subdivision Initiate the production of plan sets to include standard drawings and engineering details. Preform research, as required, to ensure the use of the most recent drawings as issued by DOT’s and municipalities Review all work for completeness and accuracy and adhere to schedule, budget, and quality expectations established by contract and clients standards Skills and Abilities: Relevant survey licensure or Survey in Training certificate a plus Demonstrated proficiency in land surveying and/or surface modeling software such as Carlson, Civil 3D, or similar civil engineering design software Excellent written and verbal communication skills High school diploma or GED required, associate’s degree in survey, geography, architecture or civil engineering preferred.
