IT Support Tech II (Full Time)
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Manager of IT Support and OperationsDESCRIPTION OF POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Answer calls from physicians, directors, and hospital staffHelp with training new IT Support TechniciansManage Active Directory, DHCP, Print ManagementBuild new workstations and replace/update workstationsInstall software and applications and troubleshoot hardware/software issuesAssists with workstation moves and new set upsRespond to users in a quick and timely manner to resolve hardware and application issues efficiently so work is minimally impactedInspect hardware in clinics and hospital locations while not in the IT office to maintain compliance with established IT standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those stated in this description.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEAssociates or Bachelors preferredA+ Certification or willingness to receive certification soon after hireMust be very computer literate and capable of learning computer support tasksStrong technical writing skills and speak intelligible EnglishExperience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook a plusHospital experience a plusAbility to answer phones and communicate effectively and calmly with physicians, employees, vendors, and other hospital staff in high-stress situations while multitasking to resolve issuesMust possess a high level of patience and show a willingness to learnPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentCapable of performing light to medium duty physical tasks.Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.Must be free of all communicable disease and be up to date on immunizations.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
