Bilingual Safety Manager (OSHA 500)

This role is full-time, W-2 role, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Job location: Raleigh, NC. Exceed Safety is a nationwide full spectrum consulting firm based in NC. Function:The Safety Manager will be responsible for tracking, documenting and supporting safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors for a specialty mechanical subcontractor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction safety practices that include but are not limited to excavation, electrical, welding and mechanical work.Essential Functions:Oversee and enforce safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to the workplaceEnsure compliance with OSHA regulationsConduct safety training and auditsLead and manage on-site safety teamsDevelop and implement safety policies and proceduresCollaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulationsTrack safety training for employees, including new hires and ongoing training sessionsMaintain documentation on incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implementedMaintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and industry best practicesMonitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on construction sitesManage safety documentation and records, including incident reports and training recordsCollaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and executionStay informed about advancements in construction safety practices and recommend improvements to existing programsRequired Qualifications:Must have obtained OSHA 500Minimum 8 years of safety experience, with at least 5 years of management experienceBilingual - Spanish/EnglishIn-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop and deliver effective safety training programsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesFamiliarity with construction processes, equipment, and toolsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management softwarePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent are preferredPhysical Demands:Sitting, standing, walking, communication, hearing, feeling/touching - regularlyLifting, carrying, reaching with arms and hands - frequentlyClimbing/balancing, Working from heights - occasionallyWorking in outdoor rugged conditionsVision - close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focusSalary and Benefits:Negotiable, Based On Experience.
