Host/Hostess

Morella, a new upscale Argentinian-Italian restaurant, is set to open in the Marina district of San Francisco. We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic hosts/hostesses to join our team. Each of our establishments bears its own distinct identity, yet they all share a common dedication to quality food and beverage options along with a vibrant social atmosphere. Job Overview As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a welcoming and positive experience. Your role is essential in creating a favorable impression of the establishment. Responsibilities - Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor - Seat guests and manage reservations - Maintain a clean and organized lobby area - Answer phones and assist with inquiries - Coordinate with servers to ensure efficient service - Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly - Operate Openable systems for seating assignments and transactions Experience/Qualifications - Prior restaurant experience preferred - Previous experience in hospitality, retail or customer service preferred - Familiarity with Opentable, Resy, or other similar platforms - Strong communication skills and phone etiquette - Ability to provide excellent guest services and maintain positive guest relations - Customer service-oriented mindset Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Pay: $18.67 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week Ability to Commute: San Francisco, CA 94123 (Required) Ability to Relocate: San Francisco, CA 94123: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
