The Science Teacher will plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student understanding through assignments and tests, and providing timely feedback to support student growth. The teacher will maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment, use data to differentiate instruction, and collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to promote student success. Additional duties include participating in professional development, contributing to school initiatives, and integrating the arts and cross-curricular connections into science instruction where appropriate.Qualifications Strong background in Science Education, with the ability to teach core science concepts across grade levels.Content knowledge and teaching experience in Physics and related scientific disciplines.Comfort with Mathematics as it applies to science instruction, including data analysis and problem-solving.Qualified Teacher status or appropriate teaching certification/licensure, or eligibility to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.Demonstrated Lesson Planning skills, including aligning objectives, assessments, and instructional strategies.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive, and student-centered learning environments.Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth.Experience working in urban or diverse school settings is beneficial.
