From the IT experts who manage our technology to the human resources professionals who hire the people who make it all possible, these teams support our organization and span all areas of operations.Job SpecificationFoundation and Corporate Giving Manager, Patient AdvocacyPosition SummaryThe Foundation and Corporate Giving Manager is responsible for the overall portfolio of grants and sponsorships for BioMarin's Corporate Affairs function. This individual will partner closely with Legal and Compliance to support review and contracting processes and will maintain cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives. All processes and procedures will be conducted in accordance with standards and SOPs established by Compliance and Legal.This role carries budget tracking responsibilities and supports the Corporate Affairs team in vendor management and contracting. The Manager will develop proficiency in relevant portals and tools, coordinate review committees, drive process improvements, and support Corporate Affairs operational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack end-to-end lifecycle of grants, sponsorships and membershipsSupport the Corporate Affairs team in vendor contracting and ongoing vendor managementCoordinate Veeva compliance reviews for event-related and patient-facing materials, ensuring timely routing and approvalPartner with Finance to develop, track, and reconcile budgets; participate in annual budget planning and forecasting cyclesCreate and maintain reports, metrics, and dashboards for grants tracking and budget statusUnderstand data management systems supporting review, approval, and archiving of grants, sponsorships, memberships and vendor activity; create reports, dashboards, and status metricsEnsure all activity complies with BioMarin policies and industry guidelinesQualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage complex information across functionsSelf-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience with Veeva Vault or similar MLR review and request management platforms preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills with close attention to detailKnowledge of relevant guidelines and compliance around Grant ProgramsReporting StructureReports to: Sr Dir, Patient Advocacy Leadership TeamLocationHybrid - 2x onsite each week at our headquarters in San Rafael, CA.Note: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive, or a limitation of the duties of the position. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
