The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team to develop applications in support of a federal agency, including end-user reporting and analytics applications as well as platform monitoring and management tools. This role will report to the Deputy Program Manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. Preference will be given to candidates able to work a hybrid schedule in our offices in DC or Richmond, VA.What You Will DoWork closely with government employees and other stakeholders to design solutions leveraging the agency's new cloud-based data platform, modernize their data infrastructure, and improve their data governance processesCode and architect enterprise applications in healthcare domainCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand the big picture, design and implement technical architectures that are flexible, reliable and scalableWork with clients to gather user input and specify business and technical requirementsTranslate requirements to design specifications and aide Amida's development teams in the implementation of platform solutionsArchitect cloud-based solutions, front-end, database, and reporting/visualization components, based on requirements and expected loadsArchitect Azure-based hybrid cloud applications and migrate data/applications from on-prem to cloud infrastructureDesign and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using Azure BLOB storageLead developers and visualization analysts through the implementation, ensuring adherence to Amida's development and testing processes as well as best practices for testing, code management, and deploymentOther duties as assignedRequired EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related disciplineRequired Experience10+ years' experience working on software solutions5+ years' experience working with Azure cloud platforms5+ years' experience in database design, SOAP, XML, JSON, Python, MS SQL, and WebAPI5+ years of business, functional, and technical analysis to generate requirements5+ years' experience with cloud security and application securityRequired SkillsStrong oral and written communication skillsSuperior attention to detail and time management skillsExceptional drive to deliver best-in-class software productsSelf-motivated to learn and support e2e lifecycle of activitiesAbility to obtain a Public Trust security clearancePreferredFamiliarity with VA infrastructure and data sourcesProficiency in cloud architecture design patterns and best practicesStrong experience with Azure cloud servicesFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like TerraformUnderstanding of the unique design constraints of the U.S. Government (e.g., Section 508 compliance)Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA5+ years' experience with service-oriented architecture principles, software design patterns, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) conceptsSuccess at AmidaCommunication is the key to success at Amida.
