A company is looking for a Lead API Engineer for a remote position focused on leading API platform engineering for a federal government project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Kong API Gateway engineering and administration
Design and maintain custom Kong plugins and API standards management
Build and operate cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in API engineering or related roles
Hands-on experience with Kong Gateway administration in production environments
Experience with Kubernetes for deploying containerized applications
Proficiency in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and automation
