Senior CAD Technician - Civil 3D

KJ is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team supporting municipal and industrial clients. In this role, you'll apply your modeling and drafting expertise across water, wastewater, recycled water, and utility infrastructure projects, contributing to both conveyance and process-related designs.Key Responsibilities:Develop technical drawings and construction plans using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)Perform advanced drafting and design tasks under general direction, ensuring alignment with company, client, and industry standardsCoordinate across disciplines on mid- to large-scale, complex projects to support delivery of quality construction documents within scope, schedule, and budgetCommunicate effectively with supervisors, senior designers, and engineers on task execution and progressIdentify design conflicts and proactively collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve themServe as a CAD Lead on small- to mid-sized projectsQualifications:7+ years of experience producing Civil drawings (or a combination of Civil, Survey, Mechanical, and Architectural)Working knowledge of Civil 3D Pipe Networks and Pressure Networks (gravity and pressure systems) is a plus.Associate's degree is a plus.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.Proficiency in Revit, ProjectWise, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office; MicroStation and OpenPlant a plusAbility to read and interpret engineering construction drawingsEffective communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach to teamworkAdaptable to evolving project needs and delivery methodsStrong writing, editing, and research skillsKennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work to empower our people to thrive and achieve their full potential.Hourly pay rate for this position is anticipated to be $40 to $60 and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.Benefits summary: Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, professional registration support, a competitive PTO and holiday plan, and other benefits and programs.#LI-Hybrid
