This is a Banking PositionA community-focused financial institution is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Branch Manager to lead all aspects of branch operations, sales performance, and team development. This individual will be responsible for driving deposit growth, enhancing customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence within a retail banking environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and business developer who thrives in a hands-on role, is highly engaged in the local community, and can balance sales leadership with regulatory and operational oversight. This role plays a critical part in the bank’s growth, market presence, and overall customer experience.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and oversee all branch operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policiesDrive branch performance by achieving or exceeding goals related to deposits, loans, and fee incomeCoach, develop, and mentor branch staff, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused cultureConduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff developmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with retail and small business clientsActively engage in business development through networking, referrals, and community involvementOversee daily operational activities, including approvals, overrides, and transaction managementEnsure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, CIP, and internal controlsMonitor operational risk, fraud prevention, and audit readinessResolve complex customer issues while maintaining a high standard of service excellenceMaintain working knowledge of retail and commercial banking products to support cross-selling effortsUtilize core banking systems (e.g., Fiserv or similar) to manage operations, reporting, and performance trackingCollaborate with internal departments to support branch initiatives and improve processesRepresent the institution at local events, chambers, and community organizationsQualifications & Requirements5+ years of experience in retail or community banking, with leadership responsibilityProven track record in sales management, business development, and branch performanceStrong understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory requirementsExperience with core banking systems such as Fiserv or similar platformsDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teamsStrong business acumen with the ability to drive growth and profitabilityEstablished presence and relationships within the local community preferredExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and general banking systemsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
