This job shop would love for you to join their team as a Fitter Welder - 1st or 2nd shift available - pick your shift!Fitter Welder Responsibilities:Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedureLayout stitch welds; locations of weld and weld size for weldersVerifies correct quantity and quality of parts weldedSelect and install proper welding wire and gas mixtureOperate a fuel gas hand torch for heat straightening purposesSet up and fine-tune the welding machine for proper wire speed and machine voltageMay be required to perform the following welding processes: GMAW, Flux, Sub Arc, etc.Fitter Welder Requirements:A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a welder requiredExperience with open table fit up & welding large scale parts.High School diploma or equivalent preferredHeavy Manufacturing in a Job Shop preferredKnow and understand welding symbolsRead and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawingsFitter Welder Compensation & Benefits:Hourly wage: $23.00/hour to $29.00/hour - depending on experience$2 Shift Premium for 2nd ShiftPTO within in the first 6 months of employment401K and Profit SharingAt Goodwin Recruiting, we are committed to our core values and providing world class customer service.
