Construction Safety Professional (CPX) – Wind ProjectOsagrove Flats Project | Dana, ILPosition OverviewISS is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional (CPX) to support the Osagrove Flats Wind Project for our client in Dana, Illinois. This role will serve as the sole on-site safety representative supporting the construction and delivery phase of a 34-turbine V150 Mk3F wind energy project.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in wind construction safety, be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced field environment, and hold current GWO certifications. This is a high-visibility role requiring proactive field presence, contractor engagement, and leadership in maintaining a safe work environment.Project DetailsProject: Osagrove Flats – CPX Location: Dana, IL Project Duration: May 25, 2026, through September 30, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Saturday | 10–12 hour shifts Hours: Approximately 60 hours/week Overtime: Available Compensation & BenefitsPay Rate: $45/hour Overtime Rate: $70/hour Per Diem: $150/day Travel Assistance: Flight and rental support available Expenses: Reimbursable with approval Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the sole on-site safety representative for the project Conduct daily field safety inspections and audits Support turbine deliveries and construction activities Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety requirements Lead daily safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions Maintain safety documentation and reporting within project platforms Collaborate with site management and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture Monitor PPE compliance and high-risk work activities Support continuous improvement initiatives across the project QualificationsRequired CertificationsCurrent First Aid/CPR certification GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) GWO ART certification Working at Heights certification Required ExperienceConstruction safety experience in wind energy projects preferred Ability to work independently as the sole safety professional on site Strong understanding of OSHA construction standards Experience supporting turbine erection, deliveries, or renewable energy projects Proficiency with safety management platforms such as: Procore Safety Culture Sphera Work EnvironmentApproximately 80% field / 20% administrative work Outdoor construction environment with exposure to varying weather conditions Extended workdays and weekend work required Frequent walking, climbing, and field observations PPE RequirementsCandidates must be able to utilize and maintain:Climbing hard hat Fall protection equipment Safety vest Standard construction PPE About ISSISS partners with leading renewable energy and construction clients to provide experienced safety professionals nationwide.
