Oracle RDBMS and Percona MySQL DBA As part of DBA Project Delivery team, you will be primarily responsible for building new Oracle RDBMS and Percona MySQL database environments and performing database upgrades/migrations to company-supported versions. Also providing occasional operational support for the Oracle RAC and Standalone Databases including Standby as well as MySQL. This will include application releases, patching and performance tuning of the entire technology stack. You will be accountable for providing delivery support consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value for our customers.Specific responsibilities will include:Performing DB migrations from lower Oracle versions to higher Oracle versionsPerforming DB migrations from lower MySQL versions to higher MySQL versionsParticipating in binaries installation, DB builds such as DB creation, configuration, upgrades and patching activitiesProviding ongoing delivery support for Databases in all application specific environments (Dev to Prod)Assist in manual and automated application code deployments (DDLs and DMLs)Conducting performance tuning to maintain system stability prior to Go-Live (using Oracle and MySQL RDBMS tools)Troubleshooting to capture incident data and analyze for root cause issuesServing as a team player by working with colleagues and clients to identify and address overall system problems as neededInfluencing management to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches as appropriatePerform refreshesQualificationsUndergraduate degree or equivalent experience.Top requirements:5+ years of Oracle delivery DBA experience in the IT industry5+ years of Percona MySQL delivery DBA experience in the IT industryProven experience supporting/maintaining Databases systems in the Unix environmentExperience with Oracle RAC technologies 12c and 19c (CRS/ASM/RAC Services)Experience with Percona Clustering technologies for 5.7 and 8 (manual setup / Linux commands)Experience in Database monitoring, Performance tuning, Health Checks, Stats collection, Query Optimizing, IndexesExperience with TSM / backup strategiesThis role is part of a team with multiple FTEs and Contractors across the US.Interview process: a. How many rounds? 1-2 rounds, depending on technical and communication skills b. Video vs. phone? Video preferred c. How technical will the interviews be? Candidates will need to demonstrate (orally) that they understand the processes for upgrading Oracle databases used by the Oracle E-Business Suite (a niche skill-set), as well as the processes for increasing application servers and load balancing incoming requests; they will not be asked to provide live technical demos.Location: MN051; 100% remote acceptableWork hours: 8am-5pm CT - can be flexible based on project needs, will be working closely with FTEs and Contractors across the US. Can potentially time-shift and overlap.The ideal candidate background is an experienced IT professional, proficient with Oracle and Percona MySQL. Experience with FISMA environments/regulations is a major advantage.
