We are hiring a Park Manager to oversee operations of both Wasatch and Soldier Hollow Golf courses. This individual will act at the Golf Manager, supervising the two golf Golf Pros, Superintendents and other staff responsible for golf operations and upkeep. This position will help bring best practices, unity and overall collaboration between the two courses.Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:Supervise, assist, train and mentor Golf Professionals, Golf Superintendents and other staff with the operations of the four courses (Soldier Hollow Silver and Gold, Wasatch Lake and Mountain).Oversee, track and coordinate major course construction projects.Manage concession contracts and agreements for all courses.Track and manage the budgets of both Solider Hollow and Wasatch courses, and ensure funding is use appropriately and within State policy.Lead the courses with a vision for growth, collaboration and operational improvements. Join us and be a key player in preserving and enhancing the beauty and significance Utah State Parks.Qualifications Understanding of all aspects of public golf operations, including budgeting, golf pro duties, golf superintendent duties, maintenance and mechanics, seasonal staff, hiring, training, budget management.Dependability and self-motivation. Proven reliability with a strong ability to work independently and take proactive initiative. Expertise in supervising personnel, including hiring, delegating tasks, training, evaluating performance, and managing disciplinary actions effectively. Innovative thinking with a creative vision for opportunities for golf enhancement and growth within potential budget constraints. Knowledge to solve problems efficiently to optimize state funds and improve golf operations. Expertise in managing large-scale budgets and accounting activities while providing accurate fiscal oversight. Willingness to participate in the comprehensive planning, design, construction, and upkeep of golf facilities. Strong ability to liaise with other state and community golf courses, Golf Pros and allied agencies, ensuring clear and productive communication. Superior organizational skills and effective communication. Capability to managing large-scale programs, setting strategic goals, and coordinating efforts across golf operations.The ability to supervise others by communicating effectively, establishing work assignments and effectively evaluating work performance.Must have basic computer skills and experience.Knowledge of Golf Management including operations, budgeting, maintenance, turf management, inter-agency cooperation, long-range planning.Leadership skills.Public communication skills.Customer service skills.Problem-solving skills.Special RequirementsLeadership training and implementation.Administrative skills such as HR practices, scheduling, budgets, cash handling, and planning.Inclusive leadership skills.
