Facility & Property Assistant (Temporary Appointment)

Integrated Support Services is offering an opportunity for a qualified individual to serve on a Temporary Appointment not to exceed 180 days as a Facility & Property Assistant, GS-1640-09.Integrated Support Services (ISS), located at the Packard Campus for Audio-Visual Conservation (PCAVC) is part of The Library of Congress enabling infrastructure. ISS provides support to the Library community in the areas of Facility Services, Logistics Services, Health and Safety Services.The Facility & Property Assistant provides support under the supervision of the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, in the area of facility services and is responsible for:Provides custodial operations support, including using project management tools to report, track, and resolve building maintenance and custodial services issues. Identifies solutions to safety and health issues and makes recommendations to supervisor. Assist supervisor with facility operations requirements and reviews overall effectiveness of contract personnel. Including reviewing directives and analyzing deficiencies. Attend meetings with AOC and LOC service providers and interacts with customers to provide support and identify emerging requirements. Provides project support. Provides logistic support at the loading dock and throughout the facility as directed. Provides support to the Facility Operations team on the management and use of automated tracking tools. Uses computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems to develop reports and analyze trends.
