Description:We are seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Grill Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys both cooking on the grill and preparing ingredients behind the scenes. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and committed to maintaining high food quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesGrill/Prep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking, baking, serving and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patients.Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen managerLabeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelvesWashing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meatsMeasuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredientsCleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchenAdhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standardsKeeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupplyEnsure ingredients and final products are freshFollow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredientsBake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foodServe foodMaintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishesHandle and store ingredients and foodMaintain food safety and sanitation standardsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)6 months experience in related field or previous experience as a grill cook or line cook preferredAbility to work in a hot, fast-paced environmentAbility to follow recipes and prep lists accuratelyStrong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipmentStrong understanding of grill temperatures and cooking techniquesKnowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standardsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–40 lbsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsExcellent time-management and organizational skillsFlexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time off- 3 weeks401(k)Short-Term DisabilityLong -Term Disability
