PRN Speech-Language Pathologist

We seek a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on an as-needed basis at our nursing home/rehabilitation/elder care facility. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to our geriatric residents and short-term rehabilitation patients. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat elderly patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement treatment plans focused on improving the quality of life for seniors Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and implement dysphagia management strategies Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy for patients with dementia, stroke, or other neurological conditions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicare guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists Provide education and training to staff, patients, and families on communication strategies and swallowing precautions Requirements: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Texas licensure as an SLP in good standing ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Experience working with geriatric populations and in skilled nursing facilities Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and regulations in elder care settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with seniors Flexibility to work various shifts as needed Physical ability to assist with patient mobility as required We offer competitive pay and a supportive work environment.
