GIS Mapper (On-site)

Great opportunity for candidates with GIS experience looking to get into the utility space or grow within it. This role focuses on maintaining and updating geospatial data that supports electric distribution systems. Update, edit, and maintain geospatial data within GIS systems Maintain the GIS model for electric utility systems (electric only, not gas) Process work orders and update GIS records accordingly Perform data analysis and create custom maps, reports, and visual outputs Generate standard prints and ad-hoc maps for field and internal teams Maintain service point data and system connectivity (including transformers) Track utility asset data including history, inspections, and attachments Identify and resolve discrepancies in mapping, land data, and connectivity Support projects such as system upgrades, relocations, and new service installs Perform basic drafting (manual or computer-aided) Assist with documentation, records, and data management Occasionally conduct field verification work (5–10%) Qualifications: 1–2 years of GIS experience (school, internship, or work experience accepted) Understanding of GIS applications and how data relationships function within systems Experience updating and maintaining GIS data is required Utility experience is a plus but not required MicroStation or AutoCAD experience is a strong plus Comfortable working in a structured, union environment Benefits: Health Insurance Sick time 401k Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
