DescriptionSummary:Under the supervision of the Director of Property Management/Maintenance Supervisor, the Cleaner is responsible for the maintenance of all properties owned and managed by IADC/* IAAL (per Maintenance Agreement with IAAL).Essential FunctionsReasonable Accommodations StatementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.GROUNDSPick up litter from grounds and clean up broken glass around buildings and curb.Pull weeds/spray week killer as needed.Upkeep of property shrubs and cut grass as needed.Edge property once each yearMake sure exterior lighting works.Shovel and salt sidewalk as needed.Purchase and deliver salt to property, as needed.Remove paper and debris from around exterior of building.Remove graffiti from building and garage.CLEANINGClean and disinfect fixtures in all bathrooms.Clean mirror in all bathroomsEmpty all waste baskets from offices and bathrooms, replacing liners and removing trash from building.Stock bathrooms with paper supplies and soap, as needed.Wet mop with disinfectant all vinyl, tile floors, bathrooms, reception area, hallways, stairwell, kitchen floor, and copier roomSweep stairwells.Spot treat carpet for stainsSpot clean doors, walls, and light switch plates, as needed.Vacuum carpeted areas, all area runners at all doors and all officesWipe clean door and door jams, as needed.Clan entrance door glass and all glass inside and out as needed.Dust tops of all vertical/horizontal surface and filing cabinets.Clean kitchen, including appliances.Remove Tape from walls and ceilings.Remove cobwebs throughoutReplace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.Remove dead bugs from light fixtures.REPORT AND REPAIRS NEEDEDRemove scuff marks from floors, office furniture, in common areas, as needed.Clean water fountainsClean elevator-damp mop floor, spot clean walls, and polish button panel, clean tracksWEEKLYWet mop all stairwellsSpray buff floors.ANNUALLYStrip and wax all vinyl floor surfaces.Shampoo all carpeting in house.QUARTERLYClean interior and exterior of all windowsAS NEEDEDOther items to make a safe and sanitary environment or requests by staff and supervisors.Strip and wax floors.Deliver supplies from complete emergency and non-emergency repairs as assigned by Supervisor.Complete special projects on schedule.Respond to special requests for pick-up and delivery of supplies and equipment.Purchase materials needed to complete work, with pre-approval of Supervisors.Maintain positive relationships and open lines of communication with IADC personnel located at each site.Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance tools, and equipment.Maintain agency owned equipment in good working order.Be on call during non-working hours to receive emergency calls related to break-ins, fire alarms, or emergency repairs.Must have reliable transportation.Any other duties assigned by supervisor.AuthorityThis position holds a high degree of independence within the framework of the agency’s policies and procedures. The individual must be resourceful and able to display initiative and understanding of safety systems.
