Lead Superintendent
The Lead Superintendent is responsible for executing construction projects by organizing, planning and overseeing tasks. They are responsible for maintaining the project schedule and overall quality of construction. The Lead Superintendent will provide leadership, a safe work environment, supervise subcontractors and is responsible for ensuring project compliance with the contract documents including all applicable building codes and municipality requirements. The position requires at least 15 years of construction supervision experience.Locations of this position will vary and may work and operate within the Martin County, Palm Beach County, Broward County and Miami-Dade County. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership — Lead progress meetings, set goals, coach/mentor field staff, build strong relationships, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on quality, safety, and schedule.Safety & Risk Management — Enforce site-specific safety plan, conduct audits, address unsafe conditions immediately, maintain OSHA/EPA compliance, and promote a “safety-first” culture.Operations & Field Management —Develop/maintain master schedule and weekly look-aheads.Manage subcontractors, field staff, and daily activities to meet milestones, budget, and quality standards.Oversee RFIs, daily reports, as-builts, punch lists, closeout documents, and inspections.Track changes, document scope gaps, and coordinate with Project Manager on cost/schedule issues.Ensure quality workmanship, proper documentation, and timely procurement/subcontract compliance.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s in Construction Management (preferred) or equivalent experience.15+ years verifiable general contracting supervision.OSHA 30 certification.Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Deep knowledge of construction documents, plans, specs, codes, estimating, and scheduling.Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn project management software (e.g., CMiC).Excellent cost tracking and analytical abilities.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
