Juliet, TN DescriptionPosition Core Profile: The Installation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution and performance of project-based landscape construction and enhancement work. This role ensures all field operations are aligned with safety, quality, and productivity standards, while driving operational efficiency across multiple crews. The Installation Operations Manager collaborates with internal teams to deliver work on schedule, support labor planning, coach team members, and uphold a strong safety and service culture.DifferentiatorsProject Execution Leadership: Manages day-to-day operations across multiple projects and teams, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.Process Optimization: Identifies operational inefficiencies and leads solutions to improve field productivity, reduce downtime, and eliminate barriers.Workforce Oversight: Supervises crews in project delivery and provides guidance in construction methods, equipment use, and landscape installation.Team Development: Recruits, mentors, and supports field leadership while fostering a team-oriented, safety-first environment.Seasonal Support: Provides snow operations leadership, including pre-event planning and post-event execution.AccountabilitiesProject and Field Operations: Oversee multiple project crews to ensure accurate execution and timely completion of work; Allocate resources, resolve on-site challenges, and provide technical guidance throughout project life cycles; Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate updates with internal stakeholders; Ensure field teams adhere to safety policies and maintain clean, organized job sites; Support and lead snow operations during seasonal events.Production and Process Oversight: Review project estimates and labor requirements to ensure operational readiness; Monitor labor and equipment usage to maximize efficiency and preserve job margins; Approve employee time tracking and work logs for payroll and reporting accuracy; Communicate regularly with Account Managers and Branch Managers regarding project needs and timelines.Team Management and Culture: Assist in hiring and onboarding field leadership and crew members; Conduct ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and conflict resolution when necessary; Lead operational training related to equipment, construction best practices, and safety compliance; Serve as a role model of professionalism, teamwork, and the company's core values; Promote a positive, high-performing work culture focused on continuous improvement.Seasonal Operations Management (applicable in snow markets): Oversee snow operations during winter, including on-site management and post-event reporting; ensuring adherence to safety procedures and effective execution of snow removal tasks.This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.RequirementsExperience And QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor's degree in construction management, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred. A combination of education and directly relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree.Experience: 3–5 years of experience in the landscape construction industry, with a strong understanding of project-based service delivery, site preparation, and enhancement work.Leadership Experience: 2–3 years of experience managing crews, site-level services, or field operations in a construction or landscape environment.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and general PC applications. Familiarity with scheduling or project management tools (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar) is a plus.SkillsProven ability to lead cross-functional field teams and collaborate with sales, operations, and project managers.Capable of managing multiple crews, job sites, and timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentSolid knowledge of hardscape and softscape installation, construction equipment, and safety practices.Skilled at evaluating productivity, labor efficiency, and cost performance across multiple projects.Strong scheduling, documentation, and time-management abilities to ensure operational efficiency.Clear and professional communicator—both written and verbal—with internal teams and external clients.
