The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:Functional:Defines required surveillances, including performance frequency and required start date, in conjunction with the Nuclear Safety ManagerMaintains training and qualifications on assigned systemsIdentifies, manages, and controls the safety bases and configuration of assigned systems, structures, and components (SSCs)Reviews and approves work on assigned systemsUtilizes a graded approach in system and component designEnsures continued operational readiness of assigned systemsPlans, develops, and coordinates implementation of design changesIdentifies and implements improvements/modifications as necessaryEstablishes a list of potential suppliers of parts, and a spare parts minimum/maximum inventory for SSCs in assigned systemsTracks and trends equipment failures for assigned systemsDetermines critical design characteristics (CDCs) of equipment in assigned systemsInterfaces with operations management and provides periodic reports on the effectiveness of the maintenance programInterfaces with other disciplines, site personnel, and/or external organizations to meet project requirementsAssists with system/component troubleshootingProvides technical support to control room operations and plant operationsServes as a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) for system operationJob RequirementsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's of Science Degree in engineering discipline or related science or equivalent5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required1+ years of nuclear experience
