Lane specializes in mobility, tunneling, and water resources to address sustainable development and climate change adaptation challenges.The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the activities of commercial and contractual negotiation with identified/approved suppliers list to ensure cost efficiency and collaborates with internal stakeholders to support operational and businessobjectives.Responsibilities including but not limited to:Coordination with buyers within assigned Business Unit to ensure consistent implementation of the set strategyDefining the suppliers listPreparing requests for quotations to be submitted to suppliers listAnalyzing bid received to ensure technical verification by the requesting departmentSupporting the procurement manager in the negotiation & management of set agreementsAssisting the procurement manager in preparation of procurement plansAssisting in the analysis of current procedures to identify critical issues and mitigate riskManaging economic and contractual negotiations of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditionsMentoring junior buyers and contributes to process improvement initiatives within the procurement functionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, business administration or related field4 -6 years of experience in similar roleExperience in selection/development & management of supply base & contractual termsKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniquesExperience conducting research & market analysisExcellent negotiation, communication, and networking skillsKnowledge of supplier or third-party management softwareExperience in collecting and analyzing dataProficient with Microsoft products and ERP systems, JDE preferredA team player with flexible and results-orientated approachLane Construction offers a comprehensive benefits package with an excellent opportunity to grow and be part of one of the most respected names in the construction industry.
