PLA Designs is hiring a Revit Drafter.Seattle, WA or Portland, OR | Full-Time | HybridSalary: $52,000 - $82,000 PLA Designs provides award-winning consulting, design, and construction administration services for theaters, performing arts centers, civic theaters, educational venues, and large assembly spaces across the country. We are seeking a technically strong Revit Drafter to support coordinated, consultant-driven projects where documentation quality matters.Position Summary: The Revit Drafter supports project teams by producing accurate and coordinated Revit documentation for performance and cultural spaces. This role translates markups, sketches, and redlines into clear models, views, and sheet sets, and helps maintain model organization, standards, and coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP consultants.Candidates must be able to work from our Hillsboro, OR or Seattle, WA office. We operate on a hybrid model that balances in-person collaboration with remote flexibility when needed.Key Responsibilities: Develop and update Revit models and sheet sets based on markups, sketches, and redlinesCreate and maintain plan, section, elevation, and detail views, including annotations and sheet formattingSupport AutoCAD drafting tasks as needed for legacy documentation or coordinationCreate, edit, and manage Revit families, detail components, and project-specific contentMaintain linked consultant models and support coordination workflows, including identifying and documenting clashes or conflictsApply firm and project standards for naming, worksets, view templates, sheets, and documentation organizationPerform quality checks to confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to internal review and external issuanceScope of Work: This position is focused on documentation and BIM support. The Revit Drafter is not responsible for engineering calculations, stamped drawings, project billing, project scheduling, or directing field work. Client and contractor communication is limited to tasks assigned by senior staff.Required Qualifications: One to three years of drafting, BIM, or production documentation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency in Autodesk Revit, including model organization, documentation workflows, and sheet productionAbility to interpret markups and technical direction and produce accurate construction documentationStrong attention to detail, with a consistent habit of self-review and adherence to standardsAssociate degree, relevant certification, or equivalent experience in architectural technology, drafting, or a related fieldPreferred Qualifications: Experience with AutoCAD and ACC or BIM 360 collaboration workflowsFamiliarity with coordination and clash review tools such as NavisworksExposure to performance venues, entertainment architecture, or specialized building systems documentationUnderstanding of SD, DD, and CD documentation phasesWork Arrangement: Hybrid work arrangement with in-office set-up and remote/at-home collaboration as neededPrimary location in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, WashingtonMinimal travel may be required for training, coordination, or field verificationProfessional Development: This role offers opportunities to develop deeper expertise in BIM coordination, project documentation standards, and specialized venue systems.
