The successful candidate will be an innovative leader with a strong engineering background, responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership that aligns with the institution's mission and values. This role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of academic programs that meet the needs of students and industry, as well as fostering partnerships with professionals, alumni, and the community. The Dean will also be tasked with leading fundraising efforts, managing a sustainable budget, and ensuring the college's programs meet accreditation requirements. Essential duties include proactive decision-making based on data, promoting a culture of excellence in teaching and scholarship, and modeling stewardship in the management of personnel and resources. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned terminal degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years' of successful administrative experience in higher education or related industrial management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and a commitment to diversity and shared governance. Desired leadership characteristics include the ability to motivate and mentor others, clear and effective communication, and a strong focus on achieving high-quality results.
