Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Galleria - Houston, TexasDuration: Permanent HireCompensation: $105,000 – $120,000Work Requirements: US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the U.S.Skillset / Experience:Senior Accountant (Manufacturing / Plant Accounting Focus)We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support comprehensive accounting functions for a multi-plant manufacturing division. This role will play a key part in monthly close, financial reporting, and operational analysis, while partnering closely with plant operations, finance leadership, and auditors. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance reviewsSupport lease accounting and technical accounting applicationsPrepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for managementPartner with plant operations to analyze variances and support performance improvementsGenerate cost reports and operational analysis for Accounting Managers and Plant LeadershipAssist with inventory accounting , including valuation, reserves (E&O, LCM), and analysisSupport standard cost updates, BOM reviews, and manufacturing cost analysisAssist with capital projects, budgeting, and AFE trackingEnsure compliance with SOX controls and internal accounting policiesSupport internal and external audits , including preparation of audit schedules and documentationDrive process improvements and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teamsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting required5 to 10 years public accounting OR 4–11 years industry experienceManufacturing or plant accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and close processesExperience with inventory, cost accounting, or standard costing is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, analysis, reporting)Experience with SAP and/or BPC preferredCPA, CMA, or Master's degree preferredStrong communication skills with ability to present to management and cross-functional teamsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbout INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
