Technical Service Engineer - Dynamatic

Love turning complex technical challenges into success stories?At Dynamatic, our technology powers critical operations-and when performance matters most, we rely on experts who can seamlessly bridge mechanics, electronics, and software.We're seeking a Technical Service Engineer who thrives in the field, excels at troubleshooting and diagnostics, and takes pride in getting customers back up and running better than before.Location: Sturtevant, WIWhat You'll Do:Install, commission, and maintain equipment at customer sitesDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issuesUtilize software knowledge to:Update embedded code (firmware, assembly code) for equipment calibration, optimization, or bug fixesCollaborate with peers on root cause analysis of software/hardware issuesTrain customers on operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting proceduresDocument service activities, including field reports, code modifications, and parts usageProvide feedback from field issues to engineering and product development teamsEnsure compliance with safety standards and site regulationsUp to 50% travel domestically and internationally (as required, sometimes on short notice) to support customer installations and service callsWhat We're Looking For:Experience in field service, technical support, or a similar customer-facing technical roleStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of assembly language programming (x86, ARM, or similar microcontrollers)Familiarity with firmware, low-level embedded programming, and C/C++Knowledge of industrial automation, motion control, or drive systemsExperience with embedded systems, PLCs, and industrial control hardwareAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsProficiency with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzersStrong communication skills and the ability to work independently in field environmentsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or technical degree/related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)Minimum 5 years of related experience, including customer-facing and/or field service workWe offer many company benefits:10 paid holidays and PTO starting at two weeks per year401K Plan - 3% employer contribution, and matching based on your contribution thereafter: immediate full vestingTwo medical plans: a PPO and an HDHP with an HSADental/Vision coveragePet InsuranceCompany-paid Employee Assistant Program (EAP)Company-Paid Life Insurance & AD&D, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term DisabilityAdditional Voluntary Life Insurance & AD&DTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
