We are seeking an experienced Platform Software Architect to shape the future of our clients video platform services. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance video systems, ensuring seamless streaming and real-time processing across embedded and cloud platforms. This role offers the chance to influence the technical vision, mentor engineering teams, and drive innovation in video codecs, pipelines, and low-latency systems.What You’ll Do:Architect scalable, reliable, and secure platform solutions aligned with business goals.Lead design and implementation of video processing pipelines for encoding, decoding, and transcoding.Optimize video codecs (H.264, HEVC, VP8/VP9, AV1, ProRes, DNxHD) for embedded and software platforms.Develop high-performance embedded video systems, balancing memory, CPU, and power efficiency.Oversee streaming, compression, and real-time transmission technologies (RTSP, HLS, DASH, WebRTC).Perform performance tuning, low-latency optimization, and system monitoring for video applications.Ensure security, compliance, and adherence to video industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with product requirements.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across video pipeline and embedded system projects.Requirements:10+ years of experience in video processing, video codecs, or embedded systems, with at least 5 years in a senior or architectural role.Strong expertise in C/C++, embedded Linux, kernel modules, and video hardware accelerators.Experience with GPU acceleration (CUDA, OpenCL, Vulkan) and high-performance video pipelines.Knowledge of video streaming protocols and video-over-IP technologies.Proven ability to optimize real-time video processing for low latency and high throughput.Strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Nice-to-Have:Experience with higher-level languages (Python, JavaScript, Go).Familiarity with MPEG, AV1, HEVC, and other video standards.Previous leadership or architectural experience on global-scale video platforms.Why Join Us:Lead the design of next-generation video platforms impacting millions of users.Work with cutting-edge video technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.Influence platform architecture and contribute to key technical decisions.
