Project Surveyor Project Surveyor Location: Cleveland, OH Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to lead and deliver land and site surveying projects from fieldwork through final deliverables. The Project Surveyor will manage survey crews, coordinate with engineers, planners and clients, prepare accurate plats and legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, ROW, and construction staking surveys. Direct field crews and collect survey data using GPS, total stations, and scanning technology. Prepare and certify plats, maps, and legal descriptions. Develop survey drawings and models in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform title research and boundary analysis. Coordinate permitting, zoning, and utility reviews. Ensure survey accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Mentor survey staff and manage crew scheduling and safety. Oversee project budgets, schedules, proposals, and client communication. Qualifications 2+ years of land/site surveying experience. Proficient with GPS, total stations, 3D scanning, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Experience with plats, legal descriptions, boundary surveys, and title research. Knowledge of permitting, zoning, land development, and survey regulations. Strong project management, communication, and client-facing skills. PLS preferred; LSIT/SIT candidates encouraged to apply.
