Lead Full Stack Engineer, Integration

We aim to execute our Built to Make You Better brand promise for all our stakeholders, including our a Lead Engineer, Integration at MSC, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of integration solutions across enterprise systems, partner platforms, and digital applications. This is a hands-on, solution-oriented role that works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable integration designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards. You will lead the implementation of integrations using modern patterns such as APIs and event-driven messaging, while supporting the transition from legacy integration approaches. Working in partnership with the Solution Architect, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality integration solutions, leading delivery efforts, and mentoring engineering teams to support MSC's evolving integration platform Design & DeliveryDesign, develop, and lead the implementation of integration solutions across enterprise systems, partners, and platformsPartner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable integration designsLead and participate in full lifecycle delivery (design, build, test, deploy, support)Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, and reliabilityOwn delivery of integration solutions from design through production, ensuring quality and alignment with requirementsTechnical Implementation & Problem SolvingBuild integrations using modern patterns, including APIs, event-driven messaging, and data transformation techniquesTroubleshoot and resolve complex integration and data flow issues across systemsApply best practices for error handling, resiliency, and data validationEnsure solutions are production-ready and operationally stableDelivery Leadership & MentorshipLead small to mid-sized integration delivery efforts across internal engineers and external consultantsProvide technical leadership during implementation, ensuring alignment with architecture and design standardsMentor and guide junior engineers and developers, promoting best practices and continuous improvementSupport onboarding and development of team members and delivery partnersStandards Application & ModernizationImplement integration solutions in alignment with established architecture patterns, standards, and guardrailsContribute to reusable integration components, templates, and frameworksDrive modernization efforts by transitioning legacy integrations toward scalable, API- and event-driven architecturesPlatform Contribution & OperationsSupport the stability and reliability of the integration platform through monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenanceEnsure integrations are observable, supportable, and properly documentedIdentify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and overall platform effectivenessCollaboration & Delivery SupportCollaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver integration capabilitiesSupport planning, estimation, and execution of integration workCommunicate solution design, progress, and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholdersFosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as requiredQualificationsWhat You Need:Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience required6+ years of experience in systems integration, software development, or a related field requiredProven experience designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions in complex, multi-system environmentsExperience leading technical delivery efforts and mentoring engineers, consultants, or technical teamsStrong expertise in enterprise integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architecture, and modernizing legacy integrations toward scalable, loosely coupled solutionsExperience with integration platforms and technologies (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, messaging/event platforms, MFT solutions)Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for integration development and supportStrong understanding of data integration, transformation, distributed systems, system-to-system communication, and relational database concepts (SQL)Familiarity with modern data and integration architectures supporting real-time processing, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled business capabilitiesBonus Points If You Have:Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement effective technical solutionsCommunicates clearly with both technical and business stakeholdersTakes ownership of delivery outcomes and ensures high-quality resultsLeads by example while mentoring and developing team membersCollaborates effectively across teams and delivery partnersAdapts to evolving technologies and business priorities in a fast-paced environmentOther Requirements:A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are requiredThis position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (\"ITAR\") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (\"CUI\")Compensation starting at $85,100 - $133,760 depending on candidate location and experience.The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
