This position is responsible for effective teaching, student engagement, assessment of learning outcomes, academic advising, college service, and professional development in accordance with College policy and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.About the College -SJR State is a public college located in beautiful northeast Florida along the shores of the St. Johns River. More information about benefits can be found at:Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstruction• Teach assigned mathematics courses in accordance with departmental and College standards.• Prepare syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and course schedules.• Use effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and student success.• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.• Maintain regular office hours and availability for student support.College Service• Participate in curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, and program review.• Record and submit grades and attendance accurately and on time.• Participate in department, division, and College meetings.• Serve on committees and support accreditation and institutional effectiveness initiatives.• Participate in commencement and other College activities as required.Professional Development• Engage in professional development activities in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support continuous program improvement.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications• Master's degree in Mathematics; or• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics.Preferred Qualifications• College-level teaching experience strongly preferred.• Experience teaching both on-campus and online courses.We offer a complete benefits package to full-time employees including health care, dental, vision, retirement, deferred compensation plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term disability, holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
