QMS seeks an Appian Developer to work within a dynamic and highly innovative team environment in our Agile software solutions group that supports federal government customers. The Appian Developer will perform tasks within the software development life cycle in an integrated computing environment.About the RoleIn this role, you should be technically sound, detail oriented with the ability to lead tasks and ensure the delivery of quality software. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and sustain scalable Appian solutions and data architectures to support enterprise objectivesLead technical and requirements analysis, including problem definition and development of effective, scalable solutionsProduce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system diagrams, architecture artifacts, and well-documented codeOversee full lifecycle software testing, including shift-left practices, to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable solutionsManage software assets within centralized repositories, leveraging version control systems such as GitHub to ensure integrity and traceabilityDirect ongoing software maintenance activities, including enhancements, updates, and defect resolution to support system performance and reliabilityDevelop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, automated application delivery across the organizationPartner with business stakeholders and IT analysts to elicit, refine, and translate business requirements into technical solutionsCollaborate with engineering teams to define and execute application development strategies aligned with organizational goalsQualifications4+ years of proven hands-on experience as developing, deploying and managing Appian applications4+ years of proven hands-on experience managing GitHubAbility to manage DevSecOps to automate and enhance software operationsAppian Certified Developer CertificationExperience supporting software deployed on AWS, a plusCollaborative team player who is detailed oriented, focused on software qualityProblem-solving aptitudeExcellent communication, writing and presentation skillsBS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fieldSalary and compensation packageSalary is commensurate with experience.
