Marketing Specialist
Performs a variety of administrative and technical assignments related to the marketing of the Company's products and services by performing the following duties personally or with other support staff.What You Will Be Responsible ForParticipates in the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and plan for the business. Conducts market research, performs competitive analysis, maintains competitive matrix, monitors trends and provides input to market analyses. Prepares reports and metrics based upon sales and marketing activities and goals Participates in the formulation, coordination and implementation of demand creation, with other sales and marketing team members Research advertising opportunities within trade publications and web portals Develops advertising plan for execution of advertising budget Places media buys with appropriate trade pubs and web portals; Develops, designs and distributes ads and company/product profiles Drafts press releases in coordination with corporate communications and submit to media contacts Designs and updates graphics, displays and literature for trade shows and road shows; assists with trade show and road show coordination Assists with capture management activities including researching opportunities (via Fed Biz Ops, ePipeline, etc.), supporting proposal writer with packaging and graphics, and contributing to reports and metrics Consults with product development personnel on product specifications, including product descriptions, weights and dimensions, applications, certifications, and so on. Coordinates the preparation and continual updating of marketing materials (e.g., brochures, catalogs, presentations, product slicks, flyers, and product photos)Works with corporate communications to keep website up to date. Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.What You Need To Be Successful In This RoleHas a 4-year degree in Marketing or related business field. Has proven capability in technical sales and marketing as evidenced by a minimum of 3 years sales/marketing experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Quark, Broad technical and analytical business skills as typically evidenced by completion of a bachelor's degree. Excellent college level writing and speaking skills. In depth understanding of business functions. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus.
