Merchandiser

The Merchandiser will work primarily in our customers' retail locations to ensure Ben E. Keith products are properly represented and competitively positioned. This position will accomplish this by engaging in effective merchandising activities including: building retail displays, hanging promotional signs, and engaging with consumers and retail personnel to communicate the value of our brands. This position will also be responsible for rotating product and fill all coolers, displays, and hot shelves.Build healthy business relationships and establish good communication with our retail customersWork collaboratively with customer to establish their needs and design solutions that fulfill those needsPromote Ben E. Keith brands at retail through promotions, consumer education and merchandisingBuild product displays; execute placement of signage and other merchandising material to ensure maximum brand visibility in all assigned retail accounts; maintain the "Look of the Leader"Remain aware of and execute basic marketing activity as it relates to our sales channels (i.e. ad features, out-of-stocks, retailer policies and concerns)Identify merchandising opportunities at account and make recommendations to customerRegularly replace merchandising material at customer accounts to coincide with marketing programsEnsure maximum visibility of Ben E. Keith products at account (beer shelves, beer caves, displays, etc.) and that products are priced appropriatelyOrganize and refill back stock, coolers, beer shelves and displaysMaintain designated back stock area at customer location; ensure area is organized and free of trashMaintain product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock regularlyRemain aware of all Ben E. Keith product offerings and the individual value they provideRegularly monitor inventory to ensure proper stock levels and rotationCommunicate all sales and merchandising opportunities or challenges (product placements, out of stocks, out of code), as well as any competitive activity, to ManagerProject a friendly, professional image at all timesPrioritize multiple, competing prioritiesAttend meetings as requiredOperate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policyEnsure company equipment is in safe, working condition; reports any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisorPerform other duties as assignedJob Qualifications:Basic computer skills preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferredAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAble to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitmentsGood oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environmentMust be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detailMust be organized with the ability to handle multiple prioritiesAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsMust be able to read and write EnglishAbility to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hearMust have a valid Texas driver's license with clean driving recordMust be 18 yrs. or older to apply
