Description Linda's Italian Kitchen in South Hadley, MA is looking to hire a full-time General Manager for a brand new opening! Linda's will be a new intimate 55-seat Italian restaurant from The Bean Restaurant Group. Serving a combination of timeless Italian-American classics and regional Italian specials, Linda's is a highly anticipated opening from the team behind neighborhood staples like Johnny's Bar & Grille in South Hadley, Johnny's Tavern in Amherst, the legendary Student Prince in Springfield and many others! The right candidate is passionate about hospitality, great food & drink and leading a team. Compensation Band This position earns a competitive salary of $75K year pending experience. A Day in the Life of a Restaurant General Manager Our General Manager is integral in connecting our front-of-the-house team with our Executive Chef and the back of the house to ensure operational success and to execute upon Bean Restaurant Group standards. As our General Manager you'll be the face of Linda's Italian Kitchen in our local communities and with guests. You are responsible for building and maintaining strong positive relationships with all key stakeholders. You'll oversee the daily restaurant operations and lead our front of the house towards excellence by creating a genuine and inviting environment for our team members and patrons. With strong attention to detail, you'll oversee the planning, training, and execution necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. Our General Managers play an active role in service. You will lead pre-shift meetings. You will stay engaged during service by supporting the teams at the host stand, on the floor, behind the bar and at the expo window. You are responsible for managing customer service responses and leading all guest recovery efforts. The general manager is responsible and accountable for the following duties (not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary): Ensure the highest quality product and service standards are maintained with guests Embody Bean Restaurant Group core values, motivate and educate your staff to embody true hospitality, administer legendary service to maintain and attract customers. Oversee hiring and retention of employees through engagement, feedback, and coaching. Follow company training guidelines and monitor the performance and development of all FOH employees on areas including and not limited to food and beverage knowledge, new and developing offerings and steps of service. Manage labor and staff schedules in accordance with business volume to operate efficiently Execute all administrative tasks and closing duties, maintain compliance with payroll and human resources Ownership of financial statements including P&L, ensure labor, purchasing, and controllables are within company guidelines. Required Qualifications A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a willingness to learn Positive attitude, ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflict Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the team Self-motivated, detail oriented, and results driven Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: Scheduling, company policies and procedures, personnel management, basic recordkeeping, point-of-sale computers and software Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time Preferred Qualifications Two years restaurant management experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable or Resy, Toast, 7Shifts Basic knowledge of spirit, wine and beers. Work Schedule This full-time position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts. Expectation is 50-55 hours per week. Are You Ready to Join Our Team?
