The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Python frameworks, cloud-native architecture, and a strong track record of leading technical initiatives, mentoring teams, and delivering high-performance production systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using PythonArchitect microservices-based solutions and drive best practices around modularity, reusability, and maintainabilityLead design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making across the engineering teamOptimize application performance, database queries, and system scalability for high-traffic environmentsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment and release cyclesIntegrate third-party APIs, services, and data pipelines into existing systemsWrite unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliabilityCollaborate closely with product managers, DevOps, QA, and front-end teams in an Agile/Scrum environmentTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues across distributed systemsMentor junior and mid-level developers, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and enforce coding standardsStay current with emerging Python ecosystem trends, libraries, and best practicesRequired Skills & Qualifications10+ years of professional software development experience, with 7+ years focused on PythonStrong expertise in Python frameworks: Django, Flask, or FastAPISolid understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and microservices architectureHands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) databasesProficiency in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (compute, storage, serverless, containers)Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, KubernetesStrong knowledge of message queues/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)Proficient with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Experience writing automated tests using pytest, unittest, or similar frameworksStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principlesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsEducationBachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
