Shipping and Receiving Assistant

Job Description Mission: A leading Florida commercial elevator design, remodeling & manufacturing firm is seeking a highly organized and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Vasile Elevator Inc. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized shipping and receiving process. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cleaning the shop facility, managing hardware inventory, building crates for shipments, assisting different departments of the shop, and handling tools.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Responsibilities/Functions• Construct crates and packaging materials for shipments, ensuring that they meet the required standards for safe transportation.• Proficient in ERP systems and general computer applications, including Microsoft Office, inventory tracking, shipping documentation, and data entry.• Clean the shop facility regularly to ensure a safe and organized working environment.• Assist various departments within the shop with tasks as needed, providing support and contributing to overall operational efficiency.• Operate a forklift to move and transport materials safely and efficiently.• Demonstrate proficiency in handling various tools, equipment, and machinery.• Make deliveries/pick ups• Keep Inventory CurrentSkills & Experience• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.• Experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred.• Proficient in ERP systems and general computer applications, including Microsoft Office, inventory tracking, shipping documentation, and data entry.• Experience operating a forklift is required.
