ESA Section 7 Analyst

A company is looking for an ESA Section 7 Senior Analyst to support the National Marine Fisheries Service in conducting ESA section 7 consultations. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct analyses and research for ESA section 7 consultations Review action agency documents and provide technical assistance to Federal agencies Analyze scientific literature and assess impacts on protected species, developing mitigation strategiesRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and 7 years of relevant experience Experience in environmental regulations, biological sciences, or ecological risk assessment Preferred experience in Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic fisheries and ecosystems Documented experience in scientific project management Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
