Oracle Cloud Financials Functional ConsultantPosition Type: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – Remote & On-site blend)Experience Level: 10+ yearsJob DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Business Systems Analyst is a techno-functional expert within the IT Functional Team, providing analytical, technical, and operational support for the enterprise Oracle Cloud ERP platform and boundary administrative systems.Serving as a key liaison between business units, IT technical teams, and Oracle support, this role ensures system configurations, integrations, and enhancements align with institutional goals, compliance standards, and financial policies. The role requires regular onsite work (typically 1–3 days per month).Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Analysis & Configuration: Partner with stakeholders to analyze business processes, define system requirements, and execute functional configurations within Oracle Cloud ERP (specifically PPM, Grants, Financials, and Order-to-Cash processes).Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between Grants Research, Financials, Student Finance, IT, and external support to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead fit-gap analysis, conference room pilots (CRPs), regression testing, data validation, and issue triage across multiple functional domains.Reporting & Data Integration: Utilize technical tools including OTBI, BI Publisher, BI Cloud Connect, PPM Extracts, and SQL for data analysis and reporting.QualificationsRequiredEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience/training).ERP Experience: 5+ years supporting Oracle Cloud or comparable ERP systems.Analyst Experience: 3+ years as a Business Systems Analyst supporting Oracle Cloud PPM, Grants, or Financials.Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, and the system development life cycle (SDLC).Methodology Expertise: Advanced knowledge of business process analysis (requirements gathering, gap analysis, root cause analysis, as-is/to-be design) and user training execution.Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.Preferred10+ years of related ERP and business analysis experience.Broad knowledge spanning PPM, grants, supply chain, human capital management (HCM), or finance systems.Professional certifications such as Oracle Cloud CertificationsPMPCBAP, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
